Each year, Congress is responsible for passing Appropriations legislation to fund federal agencies. Rep. Vasquez will work to prioritize federal funding for the agencies and programs that serve New Mexico.

“It is unacceptable that the Biden Administration is considering reinstating family detention to deter migrants who are fleeing dangerous situations. I urge the administration to work with border representatives on realistic and humane solutions to our border issues.”

Today, the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), in accordance with Gila National Forest Supervisor Camille Howes, made a difficult but necessary decision to permanently remove unbranded cattle in the Gila Wilderness.
