- Introduced his Affordability Agenda and is working to ensure the tax code is fair, benefits working families, and supports businesses and workers in New Mexico.
- Cosponsored the Tipped Income Protection and Support (TIPS) Act to permanently eliminate federal income taxes on tips and end the sub-minimum wage for tipped workers.
- Introduced the Boost the Middle Class Act to increase the Earned Income Tax Credit by 10%, putting more money into the pockets of working families.
- Introduced the Tax Relief from Tariffs and High Costs Act to offer a fully refundable 10% tax credit to households making under $100,000 to offset rising prices — under this bill a New Mexican making $70,000 could expect around $700 back in their pocket to offset higher prices caused by tariffs.
- Introduced the Honor and Hire Veterans Act to increase tax incentives for businesses to hire veterans.
- Voted to pass the bipartisan expanded Child Tax Credit that benefits 59K children in the district
- Co-sponsored the Combating Rural Inflation Act to address high prices in rural counties

Cracking Down on Greedy Landlords
- Introduced his Keeping Mobile Home Affordable Act to put investors who purchase over 2,500 mobile homes or pads under review to ensure they are not engaging in price gouging or failing to provide basic utilities to residents
- Cosponsored the Bipartisan Families First Housing Act to give families, nonprofits, and local governments the first opportunity to purchase federally-connected single-family homes before institutional investors can swoop in. He also cosponsored the Stop Wall Street Landlord Act to stop large investors from benefiting from tax breaks meant for everyday homeowners.
- Supported the HOME Act to protect renters and homebuyers from market manipulation by corporations buying up housing stock.
Prioritizing Job Creation & Boosting Small Businesses
- Championed the Rural Jobs Act which increases investments in rural small businesses
- Introduced the Economic Opportunity for Border Communities Actto target federal investments for places such as Santa Teresa & Sunland Park to bring more jobs to the area
- Stimulated local economies by securing historic Community Project Funding for initiatives that will bring tens of thousands of jobs to the area.
- Supports the Nurse Corps Tax Parity Act to create more health care jobs and make sure every family can get the care they need.
- Co-sponsored the One Stop Shop for Small Businesses Act to cut administrative costs.
