LAS CRUCES, N.M. - U.S. Representative Gabe Vasquez (N.M.-02) has released the following statement in response to the U.S. Air Force’s announced decision to relocate seven MC-130J aircraft and approximately 300 service members, designated as the 6th Special Operations Squadron, from Cannon Air Force Base.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, July 11, 2023, the United State Senate confirmed former U.S. Representative Xochitl Torres Small to be Deputy Secretary of Agriculture. During the nomination process, U.S. Representative Gabe Vasquez (NM-02) wrote a letter in support of Torres Small’s nomination, and ultimately in the process, Torres Small received strong bipartisan support from the Senate.
